In early 2007 the club begin supporting the Florida Opportunity Scholarship at the University of Florida. These scholarships ensure those admitted to Florida will become members of the Gator Nation regardless of their financial ability. Recipients come from families with annual incomes of less than $40,000. For them, paying for books and fees, meals and housing, transportation and miscellaneous expenses is too often overwhelming. Endowed Academic ScholarshipIn 2006, the Gator Club board voted to begin an Academic Scholarship Endowment. In May 2011 the club made its final payment to complete this endowment. With your help through the club's various fund raising events, the club has donated $100,000 to academic pursuits. This fully endowed scholarship is now eligible for a 50 percent match through the state's Florida Major Gifts Trust Fund. Endowed Athletic Scholarships
After the 1996 Football National Championship, the club endowed a $50,000 scholarship as enduring recognition of the programs first-ever national championship. Gator Club of Jacksonville | PO Box 47018 | Jacksonville, FL 32247 | 904.387.6808 | info@jaxgatorclub.com |
